SUMMARY
Responsible for the production of fabricated sheet metal parts using Punch Presses.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Set up die
- Set-up Material
- Operate shop equipment
- Shear Material
- Deburr
- Sand parts to size
- Coordinate Tool Maintenance
- Identifies tooling requirements to meet schedules and insure tooling is available for production
- Participates in process improvement efforts with Manufacturing Engineering and Supervision
- Training of staff
- Ensures machinery and equipment are operational
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Ensures all work priorities are met.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2+ year experience in Sheet Metal fabrication environment, operating Punch Presses.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write and understand basic reports and correspondence
Ability to effectively communicate in English
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to work well with others
